Unlocking the Mind
Amanda Jay, a seasoned psychic medium with over 12 years of experience, shares her journey into mediumship and the insights she has gained along the way. Much like Tyler Henry, who has captivated audiences with his celebrity readings. Like Tyler, she works full-time as a psychic medium, but she also brings her expertise as a grief counselor and psychotherapist to her practice. This unique blend of skills has allowed her to provide profound healing and peace to those grappling with loss. Her sessions have become so transformative that people are willing to wait months and travel long distances to meet with her.
She has also created a learning platform, “Mindworx International School of Intuition”, to share her knowledge and help others connect with their intuitive abilities. Known for her down-to-earth teaching style, she presents her material in a way that resonates with most people. In this platform, Amanda discusses her holistic approach to grief counseling, her vision for Mindworx, and the importance of intuition in everyday decision-making. “Mindworx International School of Intuition”, is set to launch in January 2025.

- You’ve been working as a psychic medium for 12 years. What initially drew you to this path, and how did you realize you had this gift?
This path wasn’t something I actively pursued; it seemed to find me. Initially, I was working as a corporate writer and translator and had been accepted into a midwifery program at university for a new career direction. However, I started offering readings casually for friends and was guided to do this. To my surprise, everyone was amazed by the insights I provided. For example, while casually giving my close friend a reading, It uncovered a family secret that no one was aware of, leaving her utterly astonished. I seemed to develop a different persona when reading, gaining an intimate knowledge about people’s lives that I hadn’t previously known. I applied for a position as a professional psychic at a shop that offered readings, where I was quickly offered half of the available days. I soon became fully booked with clients traveling from across the country. This unexpected shift significantly reshaped my career. Over the years, my work has deepened my understanding of the human spirit and the afterlife, allowing me to assist others in their emotional and spiritual healing. A therapist has remarked that my sessions condense the benefits of an entire year of traditional therapy into just one hour, and I take great pride in that. I am also committed to teaching others how to access their own intuitive abilities and psychic gifts, primarily through my training platform, “Mindworx International School of Intuition”, where I offer online courses and interactive training to support individuals in developing their intuition and connecting with spirit.
2. You’ve successfully built a thriving business based largely on word-of-mouth. What do you think sets you apart and resonates with your clients on such a deep level?
I’m pleased with the success of Amanda Jay Psychic Medium, which allows me to maintain a good work-life balance while supporting my children. I’m grateful for the long-term clients who have sustained my business over the years and have recognized my mediumship and medical intuitive abilities. I am currently developing Mindworx, a new platform for online courses focused on personal and spiritual development. My aim is to provide practical tools that empower individuals to strengthen their intuition and manage life’s challenges effectively. Although still in the early stages, the goal is to demystify psychic abilities and mediumship, making them accessible for everyday life. With over 12 years of experience in my business, I’ve built a reputation for being down-to-earth and straightforward, steering clear of traditional psychic clichés—there’s no crystal ball in sight. I embrace a modern approach, even modeling part of the Shane Ave suits collection, reflecting my polished, professional style. I often describe mediumship as translation, joking that I “speak both Dutch and ghost.” I take pride in helping grieving clients navigate their loss with a nurturing touch.
3. Mindworx International School of Intuition is an exciting new venture for you. Can you share the vision behind it and how you hope it will impact those who enroll?
Mindworx is built on years of experience working with clients from all walks of life, including celebrities. Over that time, I’ve come to view intuition as an internal navigation system that can guide us through everyday challenges. Much like learning to use a car’s GPS, everyone has the potential to develop their intuition, but many don’t know how to access it when they need it most. One example of this happened when I was reversing my car. My reverse camera showed nothing behind me, but something told me to stop. Moments later, a pedestrian wearing headphones appeared, and I realized that my intuition had likely averted a potential accident. This is just one of many instances where developing intuition can be a valuable skill for navigating life—whether for parents, investors, or anyone seeking clarity in decision-making. Through Mindworx, I hope to create a space where people feel empowered to explore and strengthen their intuition, whether they are aspiring professionals or simply looking to enhance their everyday lives.
